Since July 2023, Taylor Sweatt has served as Director of Events for Tuscaloosa Angels, leading the strategy, planning, and execution of all organizational events that support and sustain the mission.

She oversees both family-centered experiences and large-scale fundraising initiatives, including the Love Local Luncheon, Mom Prom, and the annual Golf Tournament. Working alongside a dedicated team of board members, staff, and volunteers, she helps guide events that directly fund the organization’s ability to serve foster families and children throughout the community. Each initiative requires months of sponsor development, vendor coordination, budget oversight, and detailed logistical planning.

Her event experience began long before her official title. From planning weddings and milestone celebrations to coordinating community gatherings, Taylor developed a reputation for high standards and seamless execution — a foundation that now fuels her nonprofit event leadership. She helps guide creative direction, sponsorship strategy, and every layer of execution to ensure each event is both unforgettable and impactful.

What drives her work is deeply personal. Taylor and her husband, Kory, share a longstanding commitment to adoption and foster care and are currently pursuing foster licensure. That personal investment fuels her determination to ensure no foster family feels unsupported.

Originally from Mississippi, Taylor has called the Tuscaloosa area home for the past ten years. She and Kory have been married for nearly eight years and are raising their two sons together. They are active members of Christ Harbor.

Taylor’s goal for every event is clear: that families feel seen, supporters understand the tangible impact of their generosity, and the community rallies together to ensure every child in foster care is supported.
