Karmyn Seawright is in her first year serving on the Board of Directors for Tuscaloosa Angels. She holds an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies (2013) from The University of Alabama and a Master of Social Work degree (2023) from Alabama A&M University. Karmyn currently works as a licensed social worker with the Tuscaloosa County School System, where she supports students in grades 6–12 through crisis intervention, dropout prevention, and social-emotional support.

Karmyn is deeply passionate about advocating for vulnerable youth and strengthening the systems designed to support them. Prior to becoming a school social worker, she served with the Alabama Department of Human Resources, where for over nine years she worked tirelessly to ensure timely, appropriate services for children and families experiencing foster care, helping them move toward permanency and stability. After stepping away from direct foster care work, she felt called to continue serving children and families in a different capacity, which led her to board service with Tuscaloosa Angels.

Karmyn believes she is called to serve in spaces where children need steady support, and she is honored to continue that commitment through her board service.
