We're so happy that you're interested in becoming a Love Box® volunteer! Love Box® leaders are matched with a local foster family and commit to showing up at least once a month to offer practical, emotional, and social support. While the relationships ideally last a lifetime, the program does include a one-year commitment.
Step 1: Sign Up Complete the online application found at the bottom of this page. Step 2: Intake Call A Case Manager will reach out to schedule a phone call, share more details about the program, and learn more about you. Step 3: Complete Waiver & Fees You will need to complete Liability & Confidentiality Waivers and pay fees to cover onboarding costs: $25 per person or $50 per couple. Step 4: Background Checks & Fingerprinting Your Case Manager will help coordinate completing all background checks. *Please note there is a $45.95 cost associated with the required fingerprinting background check. Step 5: Training Attend a one-hour Love Box Training session (usually in person). Step 6: Strengths Assessment Meet with a Case Manager and your potential foster family match. Step 7: Begin Serving! Start your monthly Love Box deliveries. Don’t forget to share photos and complete the quick 5-minute monthly check-in form.
